A LUCKY thrifter was thrilled to walk out of a local Salvation Army with a designer fragrance.
The perfume has been discontinued, making it a rare find — but the original price was the real jaw-dropper.

Reddit user Redboyofgoo showed off his beauty score in a forum dedicated to thrift store hauls.
“Found a perfume still in shrinkwrap for $25,” he wrote.
Indeed, the photo he included shows a fully sealed box with a $24.99 price tag attached.
He had nabbed himself a bottle of Balenciaga Florabotanica, which he claimed “goes for over $300.”
The women’s perfume, which was launched by the designer in 2012, has been discontinued and is currently only available from secondhand sites.
On eBay, listings for the scent are currently as high as $213.
“Seems legit to me because it has this security tag on it from a retailer that sells fragrances here in Canada,” he added.
Created by Olivier Polge and Jean-Christophe Hérault, the eau De parfum has a top note of mint and middle notes of rose, carnation, and cannabis.
Its base notes are vetiver and amber.
When Balenciaga released it over a decade ago, the campaign starred Kristen Stewart, who was still starring in the Twilight movies.
Whether the Redditor who bought the bottle actually likes the smell or not is still up in the air.
“Haven’t taken it out of the shrink wrap so I can’t say [if it smells good],” he wrote.
“I do collect fragrances, but I’m a guy so I will probably gift it to someone.
“I checked the Fragrantica page, and some people say the fragrance is pretty unisex, I just don’t want to take the chance and open the shrink wrap in case I don’t like it.”
He may also be able to score big on the resell market, with fans on the discontinued scent desperate to get their hands on a bottle.
“Florabotanica by Balenciaga was my signature scent,” wrote one bereft Reddit user begging for dupes.

“Literally people stopped me to ask what I was wearing — it was the most beautiful, rose-bush powerful floral scent ever. And now it’s gone.
“I feel like nothing can compare.”
Commenters on the original thread were also impressed with his find — and in some cases, envious.
“Crying, I used to wear this every day,” wrote one.
“This was ‘my’ fragrance for years. I wore it to my wedding. I’m so jealous you found it that cheap!” wrote another.
“Ugh this was one of my favorites back in 2014. The thrift gods blessed you I’m jealous!” one more chimed in.
Several urged him to sell it — including to them.
“It’s my mum’s favorite fragrance and I tell her not to buy it because I’m worried it’ll be fake. If you ever want to sell it, I’d buy it for her,” said one.
Previously, a TikToker shared her $2 trick for making perfume last all day.
And the owner of the perfume dupe company Chez Pierre revealed that walking into a perfume cloud is the wrong way to wear your scent.
