A THRIFTY woman was thrown for a loop when she spotted a skirt suit in the racks.
She said the $50 set from the second-hand shop left her in shock at the brand on the label.
Madison (@madslantis) filmed herself shopping the racks in a video on TikTok.
She picked up a beige-colored plaid blazer and skirt set.
“No, I thought this is cute. So does she,” Madison said, gesturing to her friend.
“It’s $50,” she added.
Madison revealed the brand name of the suit set, sending the pair into shock.
“Then I see it’s from Shein,” she said, laughing.
“Not real,” her friend said chuckling, with Madison responding: “Not on the website.”
The Shein brand is known for being a fashion giant with affordable prices, typically way less than the going rate at the thrift store.
Madison wrote in the caption: “$50 for Shein at the thrift is crazy.”
The video drew in many viewers who gave their two cents on the thrift store pricing in the comment section.
“Goodwill prices are literally outrageous lately,” one wrote.
“I was looking at a dress at Value Village that was $20 from Cider,” another added.
“No, literally no,” a third commented.
Yet another wrote: “$50 for a thrift store find that’s not leather or fur is outrageous.”
“The audacity,” one more said.
